Alpha has impacted the lives of over 30 million people and counting through Nicky Gumbel’s innovative approach, allowing individuals to explore Christianity in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. Nicky is not only the brain behind Alpha but has authored several books, including Questions of Life, which has sold millions of copies worldwide. While historically successful, the previous cover designs had fallen out of step with modern audiences. Alpha tasked us with changing that.
Working with a team of Alpha decision-makers across the globe, all representing different cultures and ideas, we created covers that had to be universal enough to resonate with readers in multiple countries while maintaining flexibility for each context.
Inspired by 1960s travel guides, the minimalist travel motif allows for regional variety and unique flavor while solidifying the book series theme of a lifetime spiritual journey.
